Question Anyone know how to order from IKEA to deliver to the island? ? ? ?

Hi all, need a little help. . . . I want to order some furniture from IKEA and was wondering if any place here on the island is a go between for that. I checked with PriceSmart and they are not. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I will otherwise have to contact a shipper in Miami to get it down here.

    Thank you,
Tom and Stanley (the Aruba Guys)

I wonder how well IKEA furniture would hold up with all the salt air? It can barely survive people brushing up against it... I can't imagine the Aruba climate would help matters.

Jfltdoc .... do you reside in the USA? If so, I would suggest ordering from the US and using a freight forwarder to bring the shipment to you in Aruba (much easier to track it that way). I use a company called Complete Logistics which is based in Aruba. Complete Logistics has containers that leave from the port of Miami, Florida every Friday and they arrive in Aruba the following Wednesday or Thursday (5-6 days transit time). So you would order from IKEA and have the "bill to” on the order as your name and home address but you list the "ship to" on the order as the Complete Logistics warehouse address in Miami. Once it arrives in Miami, your order will be loaded on the container that Friday (or you can designate a future ship date) and brought to Aruba for you. Complete Logistics in Aruba handles all the work to clear it through customs and will deliver the items to your house in Aruba. They are a fabulous service. Here is the contact information: Complete Logistics, Olijfistraat 33, Oranjestad Aruba. Phone: +297 582 4912 . The manager is Claudio Mata claudio@arubaws.com
