The girlfriend was just air ambulanced to Canada. She had broken bones
    and possibly internal bleeding.

    What a sad story!

    Hello all,

I am a very close friend of Christine and Tom's...Tom was the man who lost his life while riding on the ATV with Christine his wife that faitful day...
Yes, indeed, it was a drunk driver who forever has changed Christine's life...the driver killed Tom, one of the most amazing men and fathers you would ever want to meet...full of life, and he and Christine were truly best friends. His 3 little boys, Reese, Trent, and Cole, ages 2,4,and 6, are having incredibly hard times dealing with their daddy's death...especially the fact that Christine is in the hospital here in Canada, and will be for another 4 months. She is financially destroyed, as Tom was a pilot for a small airline company, and so was considered a high risk for insurance. The amount is minimal to say the least, and as far as getting any money from the drunk driver...as this happened in Aruba, and well, things have not been the easiest in regards to people helping with the situation over in Aruba...she will be in bankrupcy sooner than later...

So to recap...lost her best friend, her 3 little boys lost their amazing dad, she and the boys will soon be losing her house...all because of this drunk driver who thought it was great to drive stinking drunk at 9 in the morning...PLEASE...think about what you are doing when you have had a few...you have no idea how it impacts people!
If anyone is willing to say they were a witness to this, please let me know...her family needs to put the pieces together...

    Thanks all...

melwall - I was in Aruba on that terrible day. When I heard of your friend Tom's death and that his wife was injured injured very badly, all I could think about was how because of this one person's reckless behavior by driving drunk he ruined a family. My prayers go out to Tom & Christine's three young sons, their family an friends.

melwall, how very sad this all was. We were all there and my nephew was coming home from Ling and Sons shopping and had to drive by the smashed truck and the window.
I cannot believe how sad this all was. Shame on the drunk driver, he should be in jail and forced to pay retribution.
