a lot feel as you do about the $1, i am sure.

i feel the $1 is fair "if" that fee is being used to keep the restrooms clean and stocked with toilet paper, hand soap, etc. and towards the salary of the attendant(s)

jacki..thank you for posting the photos.
posting photos using my iphone is problematic, to say the least

A good question, is that a dollar florin or a us dollar? If its a dollar florin, i don't think that's a bad thing. If its a US dollar, that's a bit high.

But regardless, I love the idea of the food shack, we saw it when they were building it. I think it will do really really well when the cruise ships come in. People come there for like two hours right around 11 until 1. then it kind of gets quiet on the beach during the week.

I wonder if they will have an all day pass to the bathrooms. That would be a good thing. I'd buy that. Charge like $5 and you have like a band on your wrist or something. That would be great for the all day people. If not, I'm with "LeaveTheKidsWithMom", lol.

Please tell me you are kidding? $1 for having a functional, convenient restroom is not too much to ask. Water and water treatment is not free, supplies are not free. If it was a florin, people would complain that they don't carry florins with them. If you are spending a couple thousand for a vacation, really what's $10 more in the budget for bathroom breaks. Or, use gas in the rental car to go find a free one if that makes more sense to you.

is 1 florin called a dollar or is it called 1 florin.

i was told it was 1 dollar by my source who also is the one that sent me the photos.
    i messaged her to ask.

my guess is that it is a dollar $ a U.S Dollar. but we shall see.

i dont see any throat jumping here, just opinions.

whether it be a dollar or a florin, i think it is an incredibly fair price.

folks make a lot of mention of cruise people that would use it. well, yes that is true.
but, i also expect many aruba residents using the facilities as well. that beach is quite congested with folks on the weekends.

No disrespect intended, stating my opinion as well. Agree to disagree on this one.

You can pay per use, or they can add it on as a tourism tax somewhere. Either way it has a cost.

When you gotta go, you gotta go.

If it's automated entry, I would suspect it's by Aruban coin (1 Florin) as I doubt they'll have those feeders that would accept a US dollar bill.
