    Arashi palapa question

Does anyone know about how early we need to get to Arashi to get one of the palapas?
Not sure when, but we will be back

No way to tell. Depends on the day. People come and go. We got one once. We go there almost every trip. Since they did the parking lot more people go there. I thought they might put some more out there. There is room for a dozen more. I noticed they put up a few more at Malmok, maybe they will at Arashi.

It's been a couple of years, but the last time we went to Arashi, we arrived between 8:00 and 8:30 and got one.

We go from Thanksgiving until the middle of December and always go to Arashi Beach. if you are there by 9:00, no problem. I drop my hubby off at 9 every morning to get a palapa and then i go back around 10. never didn't get one. I can't answer for any other time of year.

I agree with the above --- anytime after 9:15am you are chancing not getting one. On a weekend or holiday you get some locals and might want to aim for earlier. We always get there around 8:30 and have our pick. The chair rental guys usually start between 8:30 and 9:00am

We usually get there early so no issue with the palapa. But sometimes the chair guy is late. . One day during our last vacation it was around 10 or 11 that he showed. He had car issues.

This week Akashi beach has been busy and 900 am all huts were taken. They are currently doing some more construction in the parking lot. Also I believe they will be expanding the palapas as workers walked the beach today reading prints and marking spots.
