    Aruba Alcoholic drinks

    Favorite?

    UnFavorite?

    I know it is subjective........

And, is there an Aruba drink that caused you to say ...OMGosh I will never drink that again?
In my case it was not especially an "aruba specialty drink", but once i had the Black Russian "flu" and it was bad......argh, very bad.

    My favorite (frozen)..... Miami Vice
My "not so favorite".... Black and or White Russian

This thread was calling to me...I know that's hard to believe. My favorite frozen drink is the Manchito at Pega Pega. It's sort of a frozen mojito but not very sweet. my favorite on the rocks drink is a tie between the blue drink at Bugaloe and the watermelon mojito at Moomba.
Honorable mentions: orange Cosmo at Quinta del Carmen, and most of the signature drinks on the Pelicans Nest menu.

As for a drink I don't really like, I would have to say the Aruba aribi. I just don't care for it.

I'm with CP with Amstel Brights. The first "bucket" always taste so great it is one of the things I look forward to, it is never my first drink as it is not offered at Divi AI unless you buy one in the gift shop. For Frozen drinks the winner has to be the Coconut Mudslide I discovered last year at Pega Pega. I also love all the frozen drinks at Divi especially the strawberry daiquiri which they scoop huge amounts of strawberries into the blender, yum! DH Loves the Dirty Bananas.

Least favorite is anything that is like a punch type drink.

Ok all. This is not a joke. Does anyone know if non alcoholic wines are available in Aruba. My wife's serious health issue of recent was caused by the chemotherapy she was on for 5 years and had caused some compromise to the liver. It is recommended she avoid alcoholic drinks due to this.
A novel set in Aruba "Journey of Betrayals" available now on Amazon or at certain bookstores in Aruba
"The sequel "Journey to Unknown Consequences" available this November, 2017

    Maybe Pegmeister can help.
Her husband had a liver transplant about 3 or more yes ago and he is not allowed alcohol.

And i I am not being flip..... I love white grape juice with ice.

Could that hat be considered no alcoholic wine?

John, I haven’t noticed any nonalcoholic wines while in Aruba. Like Andrea suggested a nice white grape juice with soda and lime can be refreshing. My husband, Tom, is 3 1/2 years post transplant and doesn’t drink any alcohol. He tends to go for water, Diet Coke, or maybe mixed fruit juices if we’re out. I do wish more places would offer nonalcoholic choices.

There are a number of non alcoholic wines available.. Carl Jung make a Brut non alc Champagne like one as well as a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Chardonay There is another company St Regis and also a Dutch company the name of Rotkappchen. I do have a friend who is a senior manager at the Hyatt. She has links with one of the major wine importers and distributors. She is going to ask if any comes to the Island. If anyone wants to know please post.
