Can anyone tell me what the ingredient
"coecoei" is? We would love to try to make this drink at home, but do not know what that is.

Its the Aruban red drink, its not available in the states must buy it in Aruba!

ARUBA ARIBA


Coecoei (liquor) is one of the major ingredients in making the famous "Aruba Ariba." To make this drink here is the following recipe:

Aruba Ariba Ingredients

1/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz 151 rum (better if using Ron Rico from Aruba, higher proof)
1/8 oz Coecoei
1/8 oz Creme de Banana
1/2 c orange juice
1/2 c cranberry juice
1/2 c pineapple juice OR you're favourite "punch drink"
Splash of Grenadine Top with Grand Marnier.
Do not shake, just stir lightly. Top with a "flag" toothpick with cherry and orange.

coecoei is only available in aruba. you by it and bring it home with you.

Appears this is an Aruban liquer that is only available in Aruba. Have done extensive searching in the states with no luck. One reciepe I found says you can substitute grenadine however it is just not the same.

as far as i know you can only buy that in aruba... but you never know,someone on this board may have a solution for you .. good luck...

It's a liquor, red in color, made in Aruba.
