Aruba in August

I will in Aruba with my future wife for our honeymoon second week of August. We will be staying at Bucuti. Anything is happening during that time (parties, festivals?)

I am wondering if there is anything going on during that time. Is August a good time to visit Aruba?

Re: Aruba in August

My husband and I were in Aruba last August for our honeymoon and we will there again the second week of August this year. I thought August was a good time to go and there is plenty to see and do. You will have a blast. My brother stays at the Bucuti and loves it. He was there in February celebrating his 20th and is going back in December for xmas and taking the kids.

Re: Aruba in August

We were at the Surf Club last August, we are Feb week 7 people and found the Surf Club crowded. The weather was as usual, beautiful and the island was great. Spent 1 night at LaCabana and it too was full of families, camp and summer school was over! It was nice because you could get dinner reservations for that night or the next night!!!!!!

Re: Aruba in August

We have been going to the Bucuti for the last 2 weeks in August for the last 13 years, this will be our 14th. We have been married slightly longer than you will be, we have our 50 coming up in December however we are still young inside and the annual trip to the island keeps us that way. Congrats and you will have a wonderful time. Try the "honeymoon dinner' at the Pirate's Nest there at the hotel.

Re: Aruba in August

Just returned from 2 weeks at Bucuti. We were fortunate enough to stay in a penthouse at the Tara Suites. WOW what a view. This is a very pretty, private 'boutique' hotel with great service a private beach with an incredible view a great bar and great personal service, Make sure you go to Madame Janette's, Chalet Suisse for ellagant meals. Also, next door to the Bucuti is the French Steak House or Captains Table...great food reasonable and a good place. Also walk up to Dushi Bagels(you'll see it on the way in) in th morning

Re: Aruba in August

We have traveled to Aruba during the first two weeks of August for the past 4 years.
Always a great time, and a great way to
end the summer before the kids go back to
school. Do as much or as little as you like.
