Planning 2nd trip on August 6th to Aruba. We were going to wait to the last moment to book vacation in hope to get some big discounts. Has anyone ever done this for August? I found a few websites that have nice last minute deals for May and June. I am worried we will be out of luck if we wait and end up paying a lot more.

Airfare is always a gamble. None of my flights have ever had an empty seat (one was overbooked even).

You should have on problem finding accomodations during your period. I will be there from Aug 4 thru Aug 18.

be careful, we are staying at the divi and were told it's already sold out for the whole month of july and the travel agent told us that august was booked also. i don't think you save an extreme amount of money waiting til the last point.
but check around daily for the best deals. good luck!

I don't know about air, but I can help you find accommodations, if you need.

Be careful waiting till the last minute. Many of the natives that live on the island own timeshares and because it is summer vacation just like here in the US many of the places are booked. Maybe not your top hotels. I find going in the summer months not as enjoyable.
