Aruba in August
Hi, so I’m thinking of trying Aruba in August this year so I don’t have to take the kids out of school. Plus, it’s very depressing coming home from Aruba in October to 30 degree weather.
I’ve only been to Aruba in October and in my opinion it’s never been too quiet or too busy. Can anyone tell me what August is like? Is it a busier time of year? |

Aruba in August
Gretch,
We have been to Aruba in August several times and found the weather to be beautiful and temperaturers quite comfortable with the cooling breezes as compared to summers that I have experienced in the New York area that are hot and humid. August is a grea time to be in Aruba because the island is quieter then other times of the year. |

Never been to Aruba in August but have spend the last five summers at the end of July. Great weather and have always stayed at the Radisson. Weather was great and never had a problem getting a palapa every day of our stay. I can not compare Aruba to other months but because of the great time we have had every July we continue to return.

august is our original timeshare month typically it is hot and humid and winds can be "lacking" if there are tropical disturbances in the eastern and or northern caribbean. http://www.aruba.com/explorearuba/is...s/weather.aspx see above link august and september by far seem to be the hottest, most humid and questionable winds... we love aruba anytime though! the summer crowds seem to thin out by the 2nd week of august.

This is great info! I think I’m going to book it for the last 2 weeks of August.
![]() ![]() For some reason I was thinking that weather wise, each month was exactly the same. Shows what I know. I’m glad it’s not an overly crowded time to go. Now I just have to decide if I want La Cabana or try an all-inclusive at the Tam. Decisions, decisions….Thanks for your input everyone.

![]() To travel to Aruba during the summer we prefer June in that it is windier and "feels" a bit cooler. Early June, depending upon when your kids are finished with school, there are less people around. I would not worry about traveling with kids during August. August there were tons of families around. Traveling with our dd we have found this to be an advantage. August weather Average high temperature 90 F. Average low temperature 80 F. Average temperature 84 F. Average water temperature 82 F. Average wind speed 18 mph Average maximum wind speed 34 mph Average rainfall 1 inch (16.1 inches annual)

Hi Gretch, I started going to Aruba in 2000 in February extremly busy bought my Timeshare and started going that summer week32 which is August for the past 5 years I have been going weeks 31 & 32 and the weather has been fantastic. I do have to say if the wind goes away it does get very hot but I can count on one hand how many times that has happened. maybe I have been just lucky. I have also noticed that it is getting a little more crowded the weeks I go. Dick.
