    Aruba in August

Has anyone been to Aruba in the month of August? Seriously considering switching out our regular late March to mid-April weeks next year since Spring break is late and I don't want to pull DD out of school. Wondering if weather will be the same or if it's hotter/less windy. One year we went in October and it was sooooo different than April. It was humid, hot, barely any wind and there were downpours of rain. We never get any of that in April so I'm wondering if August will be more like April or more like October. Any experiences???

We've only been in Oct, July & Aug - there was only one time that I can remember having any issues and that was one night with many flying bugs just after sunset. We were told it was because of the storm out at sea. Other than that the weather is always beautiful & sunny & warm with the awesome breeze.

The year we were in Aruba during August the weather was hot, the water was warm and there were few showers. Like Jacki, said you do take a chance with there being a storm at sea. This would be the only time there would be a lack of wind.

My husband is a teacher and is already back in school at the end of July so for summer travel, we have always loved Aruba in June. Though it is the windiest month of the year, there is little rain and the water is perfect temperature. By going early June, most kids are still in school.

The only difference we noticed in Aug-Sept. was that the ocean temp was a couple degrees warmer than April-May.

Thanks everyone. Ideally, would like to go late June/early July but we go up to Lake George, NY for 4th of July week and I need to space out my vacations a bit.
