Aruba bound!! :)

I know it's been forever since I posted but I've been here reading everyone's posts! I lost my job due to the economy but my husband says we're still going to Aruba! Woohoo!!! So today I paid the entire trip off and it feels so much more real! I'm so excited only 4 short months left and I'm ready to go!!! I'm just excited and had to post! Have a great day everyone!

Amanda

Amanda,I too lost my job and we are going next Feb for 2 weeks.I will have the trip paid for by then.(somehow)

Remember "we're not here for a long time,we're here for a good time"(famous quote)

In the end money means nothing.Enjoy the ride.(if you know what I mean.

Life’s journey is not to
arrive at the grave safely
in a well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways,
totally used up and worn out, shouting
‘…man, what a ride!’

P.S. and if we can swing it we will go this fall too.

Thanks everyone! I'm so excited to go to Aruba I know my husband and I both need it! I'm now looking at things to do while in Aruba so we can see what we need to save up for the extras. Has anyone done Snuba? I'm a little scared of fish and what not but would love to experience everything Aruba has to offer! And I was looking through the Water Sport Adventures book and thought that would be awesome!

I feel for you. I lost my job last month. At least most of our trip was paid for (air & timeshare) just need to pay for 5 hotel nights. If my interview doesn't go well tomorrow, I might try Priceline to get a better rate. It would cost $500 to change the airfare, so if I can get a room for close to $100 per night.. Holiday Inn might be an option also. Keeping fingers crossed for tomorrow. Hope everyone else can find work soon! At least we have Aruba I'll have the computer so I can still monitor job postings just like being at home!

Sheri - I'm sorry to hear that! We just paid off our trip last week so it's nice to know it's paid off and all we have to do is save money for the shopping and any extras we want to do. If we don't get to do extras that'll be okay! We'll be at an all inclusive resort, so we don't have to worry about the food and drinks. I hope you find a job soon! I'm just focusing on finishing school I graduate in May, then I'll start the job search. Yippee.
