Does anyone know if Aruba Fast Phones is still at the Airport? We rented a phone from them twice and it was very convenient.

They were there in early Jan - picked up a SIM card. The attendant was a little rude this time around - she was on a personal phone call from the beginning of our transaction to the end. She didnt even take the time as they usually do to show me how to refill, etc.

They are no longer in the airport but will deliver to where you are staying. You can still drop off phone at the airport when you leave. I was just there a week ago and Iris was very helpful in getting the phone to me.

I was there in early feb, had the phone # and everything from Iris told her where we were staying and when. she even emailed me. but I never received my phone and couldn't reach her.? Weird...

Was in Aruba 2/9-2/23. FastPhones no longer in airport. Had to call & set up delivery to Hotel.

from what i understand, the kiosk business at the airport has always been SLOW.
most of the FASTPHONES business/reservations has always been internet/ phone reservations with deliveries made to the client.

so it is was probably inevitable that charles give up that kiosk since that location was not his #1 source of business.

i wish that charles would begin posting here.
he seems to be concentrating his posts on facebook.

I know there's a lot of info out there on cell phones, but I wanted to have a thread specific to my needs.

We want to rent a cell phone to make calls to the US....period!

We don't want to use our own cell phones....don't trust our provider, they'll probably have hidden charges.

Don't want to insert a chip into our phone.

Don't want to Skype (separate thread).

Just want to rent the cheapest phone, call or text the US, return it...pay bill....and forget about it.

Need to know about charges for outgoing or incoming calls....both for us and for person on the other end.

Suggestions?
