Do you know how much it cost to rent a phone for a week. I do not want to add international calling to my plan because I only visit once a year. Thanks for the information.

I used Fastphones last year and received good service, but it was a little more expensive than another service provider that I've seen recommended several times. I thought it was very convenient to have Fastphones' pickup/drop-off at the airport, but now that it isn't available, I went with the better deal. I hope I get good service with the other company, but I won't know until my vacation next month. I'm using Aruba Discount Cellular. Their price is $30/57 mins talk time or $48/114 mins rather than Fastphones' $50/84 mins talk time.

You can Google both companies...Aruba Discount Cellular or Aruba Fastphones for the links. Both deliver and pick up your phones from your hotel. I'm not sure how it works if you're renting a house.

We used Aruba Discount Cell last summer during our two week vacation. I cannot say enough good things about their service. We rented two phones for the duration of our stay. They emailed the phone numbers to us before we left home. This allowed us to give out the phone numbers to family members before we left for Aruba. They delivered the phones to the Marriott Ocean Club and picked them up. On both occasions they were on time, even a little early. It could not have been more convenient. I highly recommend this company.

I think we have decided to buy a phone...anyone out there give us advise please...

Also, our biggest concern is that the boyfriends at home don't incure any charges for these calls.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at Blackberries from Aruba Discount Cellular. I'm glad to see positive feedback from someone that has used them. The Blackberries are $50 for 57 minutes, but you get unlimited internet and email.
