    Aruba gas prices

    Wondering why, when globally oil prices are so low, the gas stations here continue to charge such high prices. Same prices as when oil was over $100 a barrel. Now it's at something like $35 a barrel.

    Someone needs to explain this

    Probably the same answer as to why airfares haven't dropped significantly. Of course.... dunno the answer to that either.

    Yea and Venezuela is right accross the water and they have plenty of oil.

    It's in liters and florins, too much math to figure what we are actually paying. It costs 50 bucks to fill the empty jeep, we just pay it.

    Liters and florins are the way arubans measure liquids and currency.
    I do not know the liters to us gallon( it might be a little less than 4 liters to the us gallon)and the florin to US dollar is about 1.75 fl to $1.

    During our trip this past December I believe I calculated it to be $6.35 a gallon in florins.

    Several weeks ago, the price was about $3.80 per gallon in Aruba.
