Aruba Grand

Will be going to Aruba for my first time the 2nd week of April. Has anyone every stayed at the Aruba Grand? Was the all-inclusive worth it? Any ideas on what to do at night outside the resort? Thank you.

Re: Aruba Grand

We stayed at the Aruba Grand about 2 years ago. It's not as fancy as the other hotels. But, we loved it because it was smaller and had no problem finding a place on the beach at any time. The staff was great and they had been there for many years. We didn't do the all inclusive, so I can't help you out there.

Re: Aruba Grand

We stayed at the Grand in Sept and loved it. Had a corner room on the 7th floor and the view is wonderful. We would not do the all inclusive as the restaurants in Aruba are great. Take a taxi to them, very reasonable. The breakfasts at the Grand are fine the dining room is nice with the open air. You will love the beach and we had no trouble getting a hut and the hotel was almost full. We would go back the the Grand again. The Wyndam is next door and very convenient to get to by walking on the boardwalk along the beach. Have a great time you will love it if you like relaxing.

Re: Aruba Grand

I would noot recommend the AI at the Aruba Grand. It is fine for breakfast and lunch, but I wouldn't want to have all my dinners there. Too many excellent restaurants within walking distance or a short cab ride. We love the Aruba Grand . We have been going there for many years and hope to go for many more.

Re: Aruba Grand

Don't do the AI at the Grand unless you're a big drinker.

The Seawatch restaurant is very good, but there are loads of excellent restaurants on Aruba.
