Aruba Grand AI vs The Holiday Inn AI

We have been staying at the Allegro for many years when it was The Americana. We usually go twice a year and have gotten to know the emplyees there very well. They are closing for renovations this coming Saturday. We will be returning there back in November and would like some feedback on the two hotels mention. We always go all-inclusive and like the High Rise area. Any feedback will deeply be appreciated!

Re: Aruba Grand AI vs The Holiday Inn AI

We stayed at the Aruba Grand at the end of March and did the all inc. my husband and I.
It was just ok. Kind of blah. The service was super super slow at the outdoor open air restaurant and I wasn't impressed. I wouldn't go there again. We just booked another trip back to Aruba and we are doing the Holiday INN all inc. We used a diff. travel agt this time and she said she wouldn't recommend the Aruba Grand. She said it was very quiet.

Re: Aruba Grand AI vs The Holiday Inn AI

I have never stayed at the Grand but have stayed at the HI for years in a row. It is not fancy but the price is right the rooms are clean and the service is excellent. I have never gone all inc. because there are just too many superb moderatley priced restaurants on the island. Walk right across the street to the Texas De Brazil and you will have a culinary tale to tell your friend and neighbors about. It is amazing.
