Aruba Grand Food

Can anybody tell me about the food and restaurants at the Aruba Grand Beach (Not Allegro)? Is the food the same everyday? Are the lunches pub food such as burgers, shrimp, etc or can you get salads, soup, meat dishes, and deserts. Thank You for any help.

Re: Aruba Grand Food

The Aruba Grand only has 1 restuarant. The food is ok but nothing special at all. We're there the 1st week of July every year and we usually go out for dinner outside of the Aruba Grand

Re: Aruba Grand Food

We ate breakfast there everyday and it was ok and reasonable priced. My husband likes a big breakfast and he was happy with it. Lunh from the beach bar was okay too. We did salads one day and it was good. Ate dinner there the first night and it was okay too. The outside dining area was the most popular and we never ate at the inside restaurant. All other nights we took a taxi to various places and enjoyed the variety. We went in Sept. and it wasn't crowded and never had a problem getting into any restaurant. We never had a problem with service but it was a bit slower than usual but then again the Arubian people more at a different pace. I would never do the all-inclusive here. Too many choices for you meals. Enjoy your stay. The Grand is a good choice for the money.

Re: Aruba Grand Food

just stayed there last week. There is a restaurant inside the hotel that is casual fare. the outside patio restaurant has a nice selection of food. for instance, mahi mahi, linguine w/seafood, prime rib, chicken, lobster, filet mignon(sorry poor spelling), soups, salads, desserts. We loved it & yes the service is slow, but it actually gave us time to enjoy the scenery, the company & just relax for a change. Thats the point of Aruba. relax whats the hurry.

Re: Aruba Grand Food

When you are on vacation in Aruba, nobody will rush your dinner or any other meal. Actually if you want a nice breakfast go to the salt and pepper across from the hotel. It's nice, good food and reasonable.

So many nice easy going places to eat there. We'll be there this week starting Sat. You can't relax anymore in a better place

Re: Aruba Grand Food

We just came back from the Aruba Grand amd we ate breakfast at the outdoor restaurant every morning. It was very good and the staff became like family. We also had lunch several times at the same restaurant and the soup is homemade, delicious, salads, very big and tasty, roast beef sandwiches, just like homemade. We ate out for dinner every night so I don't know how the Whales Rib is for dinner. We ate the Wyndham Destiny for lunch one day and the service was aweful, manager blew us off when we dared question why everyone around us came in after us and were served and done and gone before we even got our food. We stuck with the Grand after that.
