Re: Aruba help....

I suggest looking in to the low rise area. The area where the Wyndham and Grand is called the high risers, this is because the buildings have multiple stories and the hotels are quite large. The other area is called the low rise area, resorts are smaller and the hotels don't exceed 5 stories.

I think the high risers where the hotels are so large makes it an effort, to get to and from the pool and beach areas. The low rise hotels are smaller and access to the beach easier.

Also at The high rise area, there is lots of activities, the area can be crowded and the beach area can be very crowded. The low rise area has a much bigger beach area and far less crowded (esp around the Bucuti Manchebo and Costa Linda hotels).

You can view the area by accessing this web-site

http://www.bucuticam.com/tara.html

My first choice would be the new Tara Suites at Bucuti Beach Resort. These rooms are right on the beach, you look out your window to the ocean and beach (try and get a room on the second to 5th floors, they have balconys with great views. Another option would be a timeshare rental at Casa Del Mar (Presidential Room) or Costa Linda both have full kitchens and 2 bedrooms. Great Resorts.

For my money if you want a great beach area that is uncrowded the Low Rise area is by for the best, if you like being around a lot of action, the high raise area may be right for you.

We all went the first ten days in June for the first time. If money is not an issue..the best place to stay is the Hyatt. Everything else is average compared to them. We stayed three nights at the Hyatt then moved to the Marriott Ocean Club for a week but we enjoyed the Hyatt much better. It is a great hotel, the best the island has. Enjoy! KK

I like the Wyndham. Have stayed there about 10 times. March and October each year.

Re: Aruba help....

Two hotels don't compare. Wyndham would be my choice of the two. Check out the Radisson. It is a bit more centrally located and is offering a $100 food or beverage credit. See their fall special. It does not offer all-inclusive though which I suspect you are looking for from your choices.

Re: Aruba help....

Robert,

It all depends on what you want out of a vacation. I would suggest that you look at both resorts at their web sites. Each site offers resport specific information. The Wyndham's site even has restaurant info with menues.
