ARUBA KEEPSAKES

Hi...
I will be traveling to Aruba for the third time and would love to bring back just the right keepsake.
I have the typical tourist souvenirs but am looking for something a little more special.
Any ideas....?
Thanks!

Re: ARUBA KEEPSAKES

Hi Sheila:

I will be traveling/returning to Aruba Sept 18- Oct 2 as well. I was reading a travel book from CAA and Aruba sells Dutch Pewter an item that I collect. I will look up the name and report back. Last time we were there we spent most of our time on the beach and resort, did a day trip through the Island and I am now disappointed we didn't do more. This time, I have booked us for lots of things. Have a great time.

Get a watercolor painting of Natural Bridge or the California Lighthouse. They are beautiful.

What can I say, I am a girl that likes jewelry and we all know there is no shortage of jewelry stores there. Every time I look at my hand or neck when I wear the pieces I think of what a wonderful island Aruba is and how much we enjoy our trip ever year.

I have an idea

Since I missed picking up my Balashi T-shirt when I was there in July maybe you can help me out? I'll forward the money beforehand!!!!

I know this is probably a "No" but hey, I had to give it a shot. :-)

Re: ARUBA KEEPSAKES

Last year I bought a beautiful straw purse with palm trees embroidered on it! I got it in a shop at LaCabana, but I'm sure you could find one in the mall. A little pricey but worth it!

Re: ARUBA KEEPSAKES

My daugher and her family stayed at the Tam last April. They have a small flee market with gifts and crafts which comes a couple of times a week. She brought back small purse size mirrors in a small wooded case. Each has a differant hand painted scene, and they will paint a name on it for you. Very in-expensive and a cute gift/souvenir. The personalization with your name made it a little more special.

Re: ARUBA KEEPSAKES

How about Mopa Mopa. There are several shops that sell it. Not made in Aruba, but nice anyway.

Re: ARUBA KEEPSAKES

Go to the Coconut Trading Company or the Juggling Fish. Both shops are unique and you will find something different.
