Aruba Kitten Rescue needs carriers

If anyone is coming down in the near future, our organization
is in need of soft sided 'travel approved' cat/dog carriers.
Many people have found them at places like Wal-Mart
for around $20.

They are folded flat and easy to bring. Carriers here
are hard to find and very expensive.

We are sending 3 cats back to the US soon and are
running low.

So if you could help out our little organization,
we would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

Aruba Kitten Rescue

You guys are wonderful! If at all possible when we come in May, we can bring at least one soft sided cat carrier. Also, when we were in Aruba two weeks ago to renew our wedding vows for or 50th anniversary, we noticed a couple of very pretty small kittys by Divi Beach Resort that I would say were around 4 or 5 months old. They seemed familar as when we were staying at our timeshare in November, we found a family of 4 kittys between Manchebo and Aruba Beach Club. They seemed a bit frightened, but did get close to me. I felt so bad for them because they seemed hungry. The next day, we went to Kong Hing and bought a couple of cans of cat food. Later that morning, we went down to the beach and could not find them by Aruba Beach Club. So I decided to look for them by Manchebo and low and behold, they were lying on a lounge chair on one of the terraces there. I opened up the cans and put them close to Manchebo's spa next store. They watched me intently and when I walked away, I turned back and all 4 of them ran over to the cans. I felt really good inside that I was able to do something nice for them. How do I get in touch with Aruba Kitten Rescue when we arrive on the island in May?

Will not be coming down until April but would be happy to help. I recently purchased a soft cat carrier at HomeGoods for under $20. I will check and see if they have any more. Can you pick the carriers up or do we deliver them somewhere?

You can contact us via email at info@arubakitten.org
Our website is www.arubakitten.org. If you are coming
down, PM me and i'll send you my phone number.
We can meet you at our house or we can go to
where you are.

We just rescued 2 girls from the Aruba Beach Club a couple
of weeks ago. The lady who found them decided to sponsor
them for spaying and releasing. It was good timing because
both were pregnant with 5 kittens each. You couldn't even
tell by looking at them. She emailed me that missed them so much
and wanted to see if she could get them to her to adopt. I posted to see if anyone could fly them back to her in the
US.

We found a wonderful lady who is going to fly them back to
her on the 7th. The 'cat gods' have smiled once again!
Look on the website for their pictures and their story.

Also I understand they have an orange brother who is about
6 months old that i'm going to ask people to look for after the
girls are gone to get him spayed.

Our major problem that we have here is that finding good carriers
and supplies are very limited and expensive.

Thank you everyone for your kindness and caring about the
cats of Aruba!
