I'm going with the idea that they are in no particular order, just the 10 best beaches

Palm Beach, Eagle Beach, any beach
I'm with CP; Aruba is #1.

I'll knock off Mykonos (if celebrities go there, I cannot afford to), Sri Lanka, Dubai (I've always loved the man made palm islands), Taiwan (looks really dense), New Caledonia and Indonesia are all wayyyy too far away. I'm too impatient for that long of a flight, and I don't have a desire to go to most of those places. Andrea is right about Bahamas; I felt a little uneasy when there on day trips twice. BVI, well, we'll just knock it off to make room for Aruba at #1. And just so I don't leave out the island in Denmark, it doesn't look like it has a beach to relax, read my book and drink my Malibu/Coke.

Joking aside, it's nice to see Aruba in the top 10. Although, it may bring MORE tourists.

I think the choices might have been made based on which hotel chain paid the most for the recognition. Notice the hotel choices on Aruba were the new Ritz Carleton and the Marriott. I would never recommend the Ritz to anyone I know because they can stay a week most places for 2 nights at the Ritz.
