Aruba Marriott Resort & Casino

Hi,

We're arriving by cruise ship on Monday March 6th. Can anyone tell me if the Marriott (or other resort hotels), caters to day users.

Thanks kindly,

Dave

You need to be a registered guest to use the beach chairs & huts.

AND . . . if you are talking about any of the 3 Marriott complex's, plan on a 20 minute cab ride to get there!

Hi just got back and stayed at the HI. There were alot of cruise ships came in last week and many of the people came to the HI for the day and were able to use the beach, restaurants etc.
Hope that helps

Marriott does not allow cruise ship passengers to use their chairs etc. You can sit on the sand but not the chairs.

You will not be allowed to use the lounge chairs. You'll have to bring a towel and sit on the sand.

I think your best best is the Renaissance hotel, which is also run by Marriott.

First, it is located downtown and you can walk from the docks or take a vety short cab ride to get there.

Second, they have their own private island which you can reach by taking a 5 minute boat ride. They do sell day passes to Renaissance Island. As I recall, it allows unlimited use of the shuttle as well as full access to the island facilities.

You can probably learn more at Marriott.com.

Re: Aruba Marriott Resort & Casino

You are all wrong!!! Yes, you can use the lounge chairs however you must pay for the day trip Marriott shore excursion!!! Most ships have it and you should inquire about it just as soon as you board as there are limited spaces that Marriott provides for this. It can make for a nice day at the beach and the drive is only a little over 10 minutes from the port. We'll worth it!! With that shore excursion you will be given a towel and beach chairs at the hotel but not at the timeshare beaches.

Or, you could for that matter take the bus across the street from the cruise terminal and ride up and coast and stop at whatever beach you liked; Eagle Beach is nice and not far, and go there. Bus is 2$ return. Just to show how easy and cheap it could be. Or take a cab there. The Mariott is nice, but about as far as you can go from the cruise terminal; although that is not particularly far.
