the TGIF is up in the hi rise area
i rarely go up there, it is either in the new mall or right near the new mall.
i am not wild about TGIF here in the USA and cannot fathom the idea of eating there in aruba...........unless it was free.

Aruba - US National Park ?

I could care less about t-shirts, or coupons, or give-aways.
The park is FREE right now, the bottom line is, do you want gates and fences and booths ? That is what they are asking you, I don't know if anyone feels the same, but, I love the park as it is.
Am I alone ?

No I don't think you are alone, but the park needs Rangers, just like in the United States, and their salaries have to be paid some how. Just last week I read that the caves are gated shut because the bats are being disturbed. If this is the case there are many other animals and habitats which are being disturbed.

Dh and I visit the area of Dos Playa yearly and the dunes between Boca Prins and Dos Playa are always showing tire tracks. This even though, there are various signs posted saying "Stay off the dunes."

I was told by an Aruban that the new "paved" road from into the northern end of the park was paid for by the Europen Union. If this is the case, it is obvious the Aruban government does not want to use their own money for park improvements.
