In Aruba now

Hello,

I arrived on Friday and the weather has been crazy. I have seen in rain, lightning, and be cloudy which I never have seen before on my visits. Despite this, Aruba still is the best place I have vactioned to. Great people (I even taught a couple locals how to play quarters that drinking game), great food.. and overall good time.

Had some problems at the LaCabana but I will write about that when I get home and post it.. For dinners..Madamme Jeannetts is awesome.. going back on thursday.. The french Steakhouse wasn't like I thought it would be.. Good food, but no leftovers..

Anyway...bring bug spray because the "NOSEEUMS" little mosquitoes are biting us like crazy.. There is no wind to blow them away like normal..

write more later
Kim

Re: In Aruba now

Tell us please, what kind of problems did you have at La Cabana? We are getting married there in Feb. So please share. And enjoy the rest of your trip.

Re: In Aruba now

Rating any eatery for what you can take home is tacky. Dinners are proportioned to feed an average person with them being satisfied.
I have a pet peeve that is annoying. When we dine with a certain couple, which we do not any more, the woman gets served her entree and she immediately separates the plate as to what she is taking home. Even if she is still hungry, she will take home her separated portion.
She nags thru the meal about this and that being fattening and not fattening etc.

She dont do a dessert even to split and she is just plain boring.
I know, I know, its all about control and diet! On vacation, I dont want control and/or a diet. Yes, some concern for overeating but not at every meal.
