You've summed it up perfectly.
Very few places in the world I've been to, and I've been to quite a few, have matched their descriptions in the brochures as closely as Aruba has.
Aruba was recommended to me by a saleman for the British pharmaceutical company Beechams. That was back in 1976. When I finally made my first visit in 1980, everything he had said about Aruba was true. So; sometimes you can believe guys that sell drugs.
In 1980, Aruba had wonderful weather, great beaches, warm water, good restaurants, lively clubs & casinos, good shopping and it was safe, clean, stable and well run.
More than 30 years later, has any of that really changed?
