Even I can remember the natural bridge. Managed three trips before it collapsed in 2005.

This approaching summer I will remember the Radisson, but we also give the Hilton a chance, not sure.

Remember when the casinos had coins for the slot machines and our hands got filthy?

Back in 95 or so there was a Manhattan Bagel shop where the Valero is now before you get to downtown.

...the area across from the hi-rise hotels was untouched land?

...there were no motorized water sports?

...the Holiday Inn was the northern most hotel?

...you could get from the airport to the hi-rise area with NO TRAFFIC?

I could go on and on, but I'll let others continue (I too loved those charters; why doesn't anyone do them anymore?????).

Last weekend I just showed the kids our pic coming off the plane in 1989. We laughed, I was wearing sweatpants and a heavy sweatshirt. We were clueless 25 year olds.

I wish I had known what we were in for and had the camera out for a pic on the tarmac. Clueless 25 year old my first visit too. That was our only trip before the airport renovation.

There was a Dunkin Doughnuts and Little Caesars Pizza next to the Valero Gas Station in Noord. When you could buy disposable cameras at the grocery store or pharmacy, my first pictures from my first trip to Aruba was on a disposable camera that I purchased from this huge grocery store in Noord. I don't think its in operation anymore.

GWV Charters, they would pick up some passengers in Boston then pick us up and it was direct to Aruba! Love charter flights you know where everyone is going and everyone is in a happy mood :-)

I was on those charters a few times.
Sometimes we'd take off from Boston, stop at Bradley/Hartfod and then be on our way to Aruba.
Were those TNT or GWV charters?

Remember when Baby Beach was a deserted area where you would pass a guard on the way in? Friends of ours and us were the only ones there for the day! Things have certainly changed!
