My boyfriend has been taking a once a year vacation since 1976 to the islands. Unfortunately that was before I knew him! Anyway, he says Aruba is the best. And he has been to just about every island in the Carribean. We are planning our 5th trip for next spring. He keeps asking me if I'd like to try another island - ummm, no! Can't wait!!

We have been to Aruba 7 times and will be back in October. We have also visited Grand Caymen, St. Martin, Nassau and Cozumel. Although each of the islands we have visited have positive features, we find Aruba to be the perfect match for our picture of the perfect vacation spot.

The weather is consistent and we have yet to have more than a day of not so perfect conditions. The people are friendly, beaches inviting, and the options for dining will satisfy most visitors.

We like the ease of moving around the island and the safe feel we have no matter where or when we go somewhere. We have explored a lot of the island and never worry about getting lost and being in the "wrong place at the wrong time".

The high rise area is great in that you can walk from beach bar to beach bar, casino to casino, shopping and dining convenient to the hotel area and tranquil waters.

Finally, it is a place to sit back, sip a cool drink and read a good book while watching the sunset.

Well, let's see, I came into this world back in 1935 on what became known as "The Rock" to those of us that lived in the Lago Colony. Though I skipped 33 years before returning to my birth place in 1977, it is now an annual trip for my children and grandchildren who have grown to love Aruba almost as much as I do. What an emotional experience it was when my daughter, as my graduation gift to her, accompanied me on that trip in 1977 attending the Lago Reunion; her first trip to the island. My son's first trip did not happen until the Lago Reunion in 1981. And the rest is history. As I read comments from everyone on this web site, I know that you have become to love this wonderful island like we do. So enjoy, take advantage of the wonderful Aruban people, the beautiful Caribbean water, the trade winds, the beaches, etc. Just does not get any better as far as I am concerned, but then I am really partial. Visit other islands? For me, no. I am totally and completely satisfied and happy to return to "The Rock" as long as I am able.

Now, if Continental will quickly lower their price for their direct flights from Houston every Saturday, I will be content to book my flights, sit back and wait until June 2012 when I will again spend three glorious weeks back home.
