I recommend you go into the "Culinary" forum...there are a lot of detailed reviews that give you a good sense of the various eateries on the island.

Here are the places we love (various price points and in no particular order):

    1) Kitchen Table
    2) Wilhelmina
    3) Gostoso
    4) Local Store
    5) Carte Blanche
    6) 2 Fools and A Bull
    7) Pastechi House
    8) The Restaurant at Tierra Del Sol
    9) Elements at Bucuti/Tara
    10) Casibari Cafe
    11) Flying Fishbone
    12) White Modern (but we haven't been to their new location...yet...)
    13) Urataka Centre Pizza
    14) And, I'm not kidding, the burgers at Price Smart

I've written reviews about most of them if you want to get a preliminary overview.

Looks like our trips may coincide for a few days. We're the 6th thru 15th. Maybe a Bugaloe drink may be in order, we are at the Hilton. We usually make MJ's a must along with Daniels (great Sangria), Salt and Pepper, Casa Tua and they rest we just paly it day by day. Passions great for atmosphere and maybe your anniversary dinner (our 44th is the 9th). Don't forget the BB happy hour at Amsterdam Manor's Beach Bar on Mondays. Have met a few from the board at that festivity. You will definitely make plans to return.

Oh if we are talking good driks, I have to add Quinta Del Carmen for their Orange Cosmo. My food was good too, but that's what I remember most.
7 trips in and still finding things to love. #8 will be great in November!

If you remembered your drinks that well then they couldn't have been that great.

Good casual food at a good price: Scott's Brats (breakfast/lunch, try the vodka lemonade), Bugaloe (lunch), Casa Tua (dinner.. really good pizza and drinks). We also like Bingo and Barney's for casual dinners, and Barefoot is our go-to for those romantic evenings.

    Tracey... really??
