I'm also a procrastinating list-aholic. We only have one kitty now and we have Maggie's oldest to take care of her. When it comes to actually getting everything done I'm in charge of the essentials to get us there: flight info, accommodations, sleep and park reservations, car rental info, etc. She makes out our actual itinerary listing when and where we eat and the activities we do. Each of us are responsible for packing our own things but she handles the community property in exchange for me packing the car and carrying most of the luggage. I'm in charge of making certain we have enough cash and she handles calling the credit card companies. Maggie also handles the spending of the money.

I plan it all and take care of it all.... and it's a joy because the trip is near. DW does make house and pet arrangements with the usual caretaker and does her own packing!

I tend to obsess over finding the time to get all the cooking/freezing & packing done and KNOWING I'm going to forget something! My daughter & hubby packs for themselves now, my little ones are still my responsibility, plus the travel plans & rental car plans & accommodations & restaurant reservations & the furry children's accommodations, etc. It's very stressful and I LOVE every second of it

No lists here! Every year we over pack and every year we say we are going to take less....It doesn'y happen! I fell like the Mc Callisters from Home alone going through the airport when we get there. lol One of these trips I plan on taking just a backpack with a bathing suit, tshirt, sandals, tootbrush, and a fat wallet. I'll buy what I need when I get there. The only thing I am doing this year is having my car service pick us up just a bit earlier since I tend to push it sometimes. I don't mind missing a flight for work but vacation flights are different.

I used to fly by the seat of my pants until the year we stayed in a hotel for an early departure to Aruba and woke up in the middle of the night realizing I forgot to pack a single swimsuit. I wasted a full day shopping so now I plan a bit more in advance. Lol.

I hear there is one somewhere getting close to 25. Our vet says Sasha is her groups oldest patient. My daughter moved into an apartment the day she turned 18 on Feb 6,1991. A few weeks after she moved in this little kitten ran to her door and climbed the screen trying to get in. She was small enough to hold in the palm of your hand. No one knew who she belonged to so she kept her for a year. Then she moved in to an apartment that did not allow pets and we inherited Sasha. we have just been using our daughters bd for Sashas except for the year of course. We had another cat that died 5 years ago at age 20.

I love the beach (who doesn't?), anywhere that I can snorkel, The Donkey Sanctuary (much to the dismay of my daughter), the lighthouse.

    I love these stories!

Jackie, I also honeymooned in Aruba and forgot to pack shorts!

No matter how far in advance I start planning, trip day is always very stressful and chaotic. My husband's favorite line..."how is it that you have known about this trip for a full year, yet it managed to sneak up on you at the last minute?" Maybe I should start today!
