Re: Aruba / Turks

Hi Russell. I have been to Turks and Caicos about 6 years or so ago, and to me, Grace Bay beach is the most beautiful beach I have seen! Sand is very soft and powdery and the water is S-O-O-O beautiful in its many differnet colors of turquoise at the same time....and VERY clear. You can stand shoulder deep and still count your toes!!! AWESOME! Don't be surprised to see starfish at your feet too (the short, stubby-legged kind), and if you see one, you'll see several in the same place. Where are you going to be staying there? I have read that it's become quite more expensive since I've been there but would love to go back sometime soon!!! Have a wonderful trip, and I hope to be in Aruba again this summer for my 8th trip in 2 years!!!

Re: Aruba / Turks

Very quiet. Dinner out and water activities about it. Little to no nightlife. there use dot be one tiny casino, don't know if it is still there. The resort has changed names a few times where it was located. I don't know what it is called now. Beach has very few trees on it for shade, but sand is white and water is CLEAN and CLEAR!!! You might get to swim with the dolphin that comes in to Grace Bay (national pet--forgot name). Drive on left side of road with steering wheel on right side of car. They use American currency as their own. They speak with a British accent. Beaches on Atlantic ocean, the other side of island is on the Caribbean Sea. Check out the conch "museum" if it is still there. Shop at the A&P if it is still there too. Relax.
