Re: Aruba / Turks ?????

I love the Turks, I also love Aruba. I have been to both once and having nothing bad to say about either of them only the best. my husband and i got married in the turks last may...celebrating our anniversary in aruba, not because we didn't like it there but it is very expensive so we will plan to go down on our 5th wedding anniversary. the food is excellent the beach is beautiful...its very pristine and very quiet not much of a night life. we stayed at the ocean club west which was beautiful the rooms our huge (one bedroom suite 1200 sf with 1 1/2 bathrooms overlooking the ocean)...the only casino on the island was closed while we were there for renovations. even though its a very quiet island we were there for two weeks and were never bored...but we are beach bums! if you have any other questions i would be more then happy to anwser any of them...if you decide to go there you won't be disappointed : )

Re: Aruba / Turks ?????

Stick with Aruba-especially in the winter months. My wife and I went to T&C 2 years ago---and were sorry we didnt go to back to Aruba instead.

Re: Aruba / Turks ?????

Got the 7 year itch do we? Turks and Caicos not quite as warm, beaches nice but on the Atlantic side. Much slower pace, lots of fishing and water excursions and some nice restaurants. One small casino on the island, but think the resort is renovating there too (Allegro). British west indies, use american currency, drive on left. not much nightlife. not too many palm trees or palapas on beaches either. If you are going to go and want fun fun fun--do Beaches or Sandals resort. National pet is a dolphin that from time to time comes in to Grace bay and swims with people. Tons of whales (pardon the pun) pass by in February.

Provo, T&C is awesome. I love Aruba and have had three great vacations there (currently planning our fourth) but T&C's Grace Bay has even Arubas beaches beat, in my opinion. If you are in to a totally laid back beach vacation, T&C offers a great alternative to Aruba. If you have any questions about resorts, etc. feel free to e-mail me.

Re: Aruba / Turks ?????

The Turks is just gorgeous. Went several years ago and stayed at Club Med. The staff there was the greatest !!! Always wanted to go back, but, the prices just keep getting higher and higher. If only there was a charter out of Pgh.
Also love Aruba, been going there for 15 yrs and finally ended up buying a timeshare thru the Marriott 3 yrs. ago.
GIVE THE TURKS A TRY I THINK YOU MAY END UP LIKING IT AS MUCH AS ARUBA.

ONE BEAUTIFUL ISLAND

Re: Aruba / Turks ?????

Turks is incredible. I have never seen beaches or water like it is in the Turks. I still love Aruba and return a couple of times a year, but I think we may just have to make a trip back to Turks here soon as it is an amazing place.
