    For our "rainy season" travelers...

Our first trip during "rainy season" was over Christmas and New Years. It rained just about every single morning. But, of 13 days, all but one day, the sun was out by 10 a.m. The other day it remained cloudy until about 2 pm. Made for a great day of snorkeling and a long relaxing lunch. Twice I believe we had a very quick passing afternoon shower. Not enough to drive us die hard beach fans out from under our palapa.

We did not have a single day in which we were "rained out" and there was always sun in the afternoon. Not one day was an entire washout and everyone came home with VERY nice suntans.

i was there during that same time period....was it in 2007?

lots of scattered showers in mornings and late at night.

and yes there was one day where it was crummy til 2 pm

last december 11 - 25 we were in aruba and had considerable rain. i do not remember any full wash out days BUT what i really remember was the lack of breeze.

Rainfall Outlook during the Remainder of 2011 and First Quarter of 2012

Sea Surface Temperatures (SST) in the tropical Pacific Ocean have been and will probably continue to be near average values (ENSO Neutral conditions) until the end of 2011 and first couple of months of 2012. In the tropical Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, the sea surface temperatures are still about half a degree Celsius above average levels. Both of these conditions will lead to average or slightly above normal rainfall for especially the ABC Islands throughout the remainder of 2011 and the first quarter of 2012. Rainfall in the SSS Islands will be near average levels.

Yes, but extends into first quarter 2012. They generally issue them only quarterly.
