    Tropical Storm Isaac

New info has been released about how this storm is forming. Anyone aware of any predictions for impact on the weather in Aruba?

Issac, is and will be WELL north of Aruba. The Aruba Meteorologic Service does not even mention it in their forecast discussion.

In their forecast they make mention of the distance away from Aruba that Issac will pass at its closest

    "Friday
Partly cloudy. A slight chance of rain. High 32. Heat index up to 36. UV index up to 8. Wind south-southwest around 8 kts, gusting to 18 kts. Chance of precipitation 20 percent. Precipitation mostly between 2 and 5 mm. Isaac 575 km [357 miles] north of Aruba.

    Friday night
Partly cloudy. A slight chance of rain. Low 25. Wind east around 8 kts, gusting to 14 kts. Chance of precipitation 20 percent. Precipitation mostly between 5 and 10 mm."

    Any Issac Reports?

I know Issac is not supposed to hit Aruba but I have heard that the wind can stir up some good surf and bring in the seaweed. Anyone on the island now seeing any of this yet?

i took this from another post.
per the prediction cone, Isaac will be NORTH or Aruba.
If anything Isaac may suck away the tradewinds, but maybe not.

    from www.wunderground.com

not a threat or an issue for aruba at all.

flights on sun or mon or tues out of fla could be affected if this storm stays on track

At the moment the winds are less than normal. It is a little hot because of the drop in the breeze. Other than that....island life goes on.

I have noticed one very interesting thing though ( It was also the case when i lived/worked in Australia) When a storm is brewing, for a few days we have a higher than normal amount of flies. Maybe an entomologist out there can explain.
