We've traveled several times in the Dec 1-15 period and only had 1 bad day. One trip it rained almost everyday but not once did the rain come after 7:30am or before midnight and we had sun filled days on the beach.
Aruba where the toughest question each day is "where to dine tonight".

Our family was in Aruba one year 12/23/ for 13 days.

It did rain every day, but it was in the form of showers and almost always early in the morning.

11 of the days, the sun was out by 10 a.m.

The other 2 days were showery in the a.m. and then the sun peaked out in the afternoon. Made for a good break from the beach and time for snorkeling and touring.

Andrea was there and can vouch for my story.

was there and aside from brief inconvenience of being rained upon for an hr or so most days, it was a non issue.

it was a week where we prayed for a cloud now and again to block the sun's rays.

We spent a 10 days last December/January and had a bunch of rain but not enough to really slow us down much. It was a bit of an inconvenience but not a trip killer in any sense. We will be back in May/June!!!

Beautiful pictures! We went in December a few years back. It did rain, but NEVER rained us out. Maybe showers in the early morning before going to the beach. One day it rained in the afternoon, but just a few minutes. It was over and dry before you could get your towels off your chair to go to your room. hahaha Don't worry Kathy, you will have a wonderful time, December is just as beautiful as May/June.

We also go in December regularly. Usually around mid December. It is all relative to what people say about the weather. Since rain is not common in Aruba, if you get a day or so of showers everyone thinks it is terrible! This year was unusual with the rainy weather with a few days of clouds and a day or two of rain in December. However, December '09 was just the opposite with a drought situation.

The past two weeks we have more rain and clouds than I have ever seen in March. People are discussing this all over. We had no full day of rain but a few mornings that were cloudy and some showers in the morning. However, when I go home and my friends see my tan, they won't think I had a drop of rain! More on that on my trip report next week too.

Morale: You just never know so don't worry about it, just go and enjoy Aruba.

happiness is going to Aruba with your adult kids because they still want to come with their parents
