    ATM Issue today

    Okay, that is good info to have. I always have a fear of not being able to get money when I am out of the country if I needed it....this only reaffirms my fear, lol. I am going back to the bank to get more money prior to leaving.

    glad that all worked out in the end john!

    in aruba, have only had issues 1x with ATM being down.
    it was a few years ago and stopped at an ATM at the bank on palm beach rd and it was not working.
    we stopped at a few others and they were down as well.

    i still am a big proponent of travelers checks and using a major credit card.
    our bank and our AAA here in our town no longer carry travelers checks.
    we had to drive to orlando to get some for our last trip.
    all casinos accept travelers checks as do many resorts.

    i do not like carrying lots of cash and i do not like being dependent on the ATM.
