On a whim yesterday I checked the air from Tampa to Aruba, Orlando to Aruba and Miami to Aruba.
Found a good rate on Air Tran from Orlando.
Then I got on to Interval's site and found 2 units in aruba....CDM and ABC.
So dear hubby was booking the air and I was booking the timeshare.

We are going August 7 - 21.

Now, to find someone here in the new neighborhood to care for the cat and dog

the air from orlando was $360 pp r/t including tax
but then to get to choose "assigned" seats we had to pay $6 per flight per seat ....some seats go for $20. we chose the $6 seats. if one wants to choose open seating, then one does not have to pay the seat fee.
there is also a check bag fee.
there is also a carry on fee for a bag that goes in the overhead.

AA from tampa wanted over $550 per ticket incl tax
Delta from tampa wanted over $600
UsAir from tampa wanted over $600

boy, NOW I REALLY appreciate the fact that for all of those years we were able to experience good air pricing from Boston.

so, for all of the bellyachin' i did about logan and boston.......never mind.

Hey Andrea - New to the thread ( felt like I just admitted a travel addiction) and saw that you are a fan of La Cabana. We are staying there In late July ( 1st time in Aruba ) and just found out we traded our Cabo 'gold' for a room that will be in the surrounded by construction.

Know of anyone personally we could contact at the resort? BTW - fri-fri stay

we have been 5 times since renovations began 2 yrs ago and never encounntered difficulty.
lots of the friday check in units are done
