I'm heading to Aruba on November 1st. Everybody told me that it is sunny and 85 degrees everyday. Yet, when I look at the weather for the upcoming week it says showers all week! Is it rain all day or just a quick shower. Will be extremely bummed if it is a washout for my one week.

The weather outlook always says that don't believe it! We have been going to Aruba for almost ten years and several times in October in fact just 5 days till we head down again and yes October has been a bit rainier than other times but by rain I do NOT mean a wash out or all day rain. Maybe a sprinkle in the AM or a random passing shower during the day with sun still shining... you dont even get out of the water or put the top on the jeep!!!

I feel like a broken record, but the ONLY forecast I would follow is the local one at http://www.meteo.aw/marckforecast.php.

Yes, a slight chance of rain each night but also look closely and it says, "A slight chance of rain after midnight." The UV index forecast of 7 to 11 as an indication that the weather will be just fine.

When you see UV indexes 7-11, there will be plenty of sunshine.

Today's UV index forecast is a 7 and right now there are only a few puffy white fair weather clouds.

Last Christmas and New Years, we were on the island for 13 days. The forecast above was 100% accurate for our time there from December 21 through January 2. It is now rainy season which runs October through mid-January. DO expect some rain overnight and early morning.

Our first two days of that December trip we had some passing showers before 11 am and the days cleared up and were beautiful for the rest of the day. One night had early rain showers off and on not too long after sunset which changed our dinner plans. The day we left there were off and on showers interspersed with sunshine.

We spend 2-3 weeks each Jan/Feb, the rare & sporadic rains showers we experience I really sort of enjoy. If I'm in a shop and see there's a shower, I'll walk outside to feel it. Something I NEVER do at home. I always chuckle if swiming and a shower blows thru, everyone gets out of water to stay dry???
