Best Hotel

We went to Aruba for the first time last summer, and like EVERYONE else, we LOVED it!! We stayed at the LaCabana and it was very nice. We are, of course, planning for our second trip to the island, and would like to know what your opinions are of the best place to stay. I know everyone has different opions....But which really is the best???
Thanks

Re: Best Hotel

If you like AI and low rises, the TAM is the best. Friendly people, food is great, and all the rooms are oceanfront. Check the website. They have renovated almost everything there, and it looks great.

Re: Best Hotel

The most plush and expensive in order, the Hyatt, the Marriott and the Radisson.

--- Would ditto on those. Can't say who is the best of the best.
Those are big, lots of activities, casinos, action, ........
If looking for a small great one look at Bucuti. Won't have to fight for a space on the beach at Bucuti. www.bucuti.com/

Re: Many

Biggest hotel or resort is not necessarily the best. I think it depends mostly on what you are looking for.

Re: Best Hotel

Very broad question. Which car is the best?
Lookinmg for quality class etc. buy a Lexus, Mercedes, etc.
Looking for basic transportation but dependable, Honda, Nissan etc.
Looking for real cheap and taking your chances, Hyundai Accent, Daewoo, etc.

Hotels: For the best all the way round, Hyatt, Marriott, Wyndham and some of the low rises like CasaDelMar/ArubaBeachClub and or Divi.

I'd pass on the Tamarjin. Oceanfront room is not beach front. If you have a room that the ocean is a mile away (not so at the Tam) but the point is then that would be an oceanfront room. Means nothing.
Tam is improving yearly as far as surroundings and atmosphere.
Breakfast and lunch is fine, dinner forget it.
Rooms, extremely small, TV, bed, end tables etc. all in one and the only room.
My suggestion if you are going for one week go to any of the NON-AllInclusives. NO AI's.

You can get a great breakfast at any of the known resorts in Aruba. Dinner everynight is far and away something else at the same location. There are many fabulous restaurants on the island that serve food you'll never see at almost any AI, especially the Tam.

Also after a day at the beach and all, its a nice treat to get showered and dress nicely casual and experience all the recommended restaurants.
Best suggestion of all is when you are in Aruba, go travel around and check out AI's dinner buffets and beach, and especially rooms. Good luck.

Re: Best Hotel

We love the Hyatt, but wish they had real balconies. I'm guessing that it's a liability issue.
