    This is a non-issue for me personally. We use credit cards most of the time. For the 10 days to 2 weeks we are there, we usually spend about $300 in cash outside the casinos. Inside the casinos there is no difference because all the games use U S currency anyway.

    Many credit cards charge a 3% foreign transaction fee. Also some of the grocery stores charge 3% for not paying in cash.

    I used one of my credit cards, that doesn't charge the fee, in Aruba. The nice thing about using a credit card, besides the convenience, is that they usually give you the best exchange rate. This is more of a benefit when going to Europe or Asia but still helps some in Aruba.

    I know the amount isn't that much when spending a few hundred dollars but it does add up and is worth mentioning.

    Dollars adds up to thousands, tens and even hundreds of thousands in no time.
