Re: Boston-Aruba-Gail

Hi Lorie,
We actually are still waiting to get our final papers on the airfare. We wanted a direct flight so we booked last June and got one on American Airlines at 7am,but about a month ago they changed it so we went direct with U.S. Air and now they have changed it so we haven't got our final papers. What a mess!!!! I think we are flying out around eight on U.S.Air,but I'll let you know.
How will I know you at the Tamarijn? I can tell you how you will know me. We are traveling with my two sons(in their 30's) their wifes and my grandchildren. I will be the one running up and down the beach yelling "No, william don't dump the sand on the ladies head,no William don't run from GRandma,no william don't run in the water!!! Get the picture he is 2 and a half. I may be a grandmother, but my husband and myself are young at heart. Hope we get to meet!
Gail

Re: Boston-Aruba-Gail

Gail,
Tried to come up with something original so that you would know me. Talking to my 19yr.old son we decided the best way for you to spot my husband & I is my husband (Jim) will be the one saying "I can't belive I'm wearing sandals and clothes with flowers on them-also wearing some kind of baseball hat-probably "Mets" or "Dallas" - YES!! I know...which leads me to my description. First off.. I need to say (as you being from Boston & myself being a HUGE Boston fan) I am NOT a New York fan at all but I do have a YANKEES tattoo on my left leg above the ankle and very noticeable. I KNOW..call me crazy but the story behind it is fitting and hopefully I will get to explain to you in person. I have long brown hair with a thin build. Jim is medium build -light brown hair. Jim is 40 & I am celebrating my 40th in Aruba (my gift from Jim). Hope to hear from you. Less than 6 weeks & counting....

Re: Boston-Aruba-Gail

Hi Lori,

I'll tell you right now you had better cover up that Yankee tattoo with tape. My WHOLE Family is Avid Boston Fans. They are going to be at you all WEEK. Better have a good explanation for the tattoo.
My other grandchildren are five and 16months,so they won't be much help for Susans daughter ,but if the ten year old needs some exercise she can watch WILLIAM!!!
I think that is pretty nice of Jim to take you to Aruba on your 4oth. Tell him he probably will look adorable in his flowered shirt(I'm sure he'll love that)
We are celebrating our 40th anniversary in September,my oldest son is celebrating his 10th in June and my youngest his 5th in July.that is why we decided to take them all to Aruba with us. hope it is not a big mistake!!!! might be spending alot of time at the Divi!!!! Talk to you soon,Gail

Re: Boston-Aruba-Gail

Hey Gail,
The TATTOO...it's CRAZY...I KNOW !!! As I said I am a HUGE Boston fan. I LOVE BOSTON...I even talked my nephew into going to Emmanuel College so I could go to Boston and have someone there who I could hang out with. I feel I need to tell you about the tattoo. On April 1, 2004, Jim's twin brother(John) was killed in a car accident. John was my best friend besides being my brother-in -law. John was a HUGE Yankees fan(as Jim is from N.J.) and he and I would have the best times watching games and arguing all the time about Red Sox/Yankees. After John died I asked him to somehow send me a message to tell me that he was o.k. Jokingly, I told John that letting the Red Sox win the World Series would be the ultimate sign NEVER thinking they would win. Well..I really do think that it was my sign. As we all know after 80...years some higher power was involved there.(HA HA) Thank John !!! Anyway, the day after the win I went & got my tattoo (OUCH) in memory of and to thank John. I have the greatest time with it since I always have a Sox t-shirt or hat on and people always ask me about it. Tell your family I will also be wearing my Sox hat so make sure you all wear yours and then we can rib Jim about the Mets.
It is so great that everyone will be in Aruba to celebrate....See you all soon Lori
