    it is often busy.
we are in aruba usually during lower season (although it seems there is no real low season anymore) and we have always gotten in and have always gotten a seat.

typically we get there at about 5 pm and are there for a couple of hours.

plan B... what would be your plan B? mine would be the pool bar at lacabana.

susan, i do not know how old your kidlets are, but be aware that this is a bar/restaurant on a pier.
there are no railings .....not toddler/preschool friendly.

Thanks Andrea. The kiddos are in college and high school. Two will be able to enjoy a drink with us. I know we will get off the plane hungry, so looking forward to this spot in the afternoon if it works out.

also too, get off the beaten path a little and visit some local joints.
for good food and great beverages..."local store" on palm beach rd is a pretty cool place.

It can get crowded when there are big cruise ships in. Also Tuesdays when Joyride plays the seats fill up fast. My plan B would be Pelicans Nest or Moomba Beach Bar. You can get a bite to eat, some cocktails, in an upbeat environment.

Andrea, I have Local Store on the list. My boys love wings!

Tracey, I will add Pelicans and Moomba to the backup list. Upbeat will be good on the first day. I want that first cocktail! We will be hungry so, we want to get right to food, drink and beach!

BIG fan of "Local Store" - they're not open Monday nights though.

Big fan of the places mentioned. Also, if you really can't wait for that first cocktail, West Deck is on the left right before you get to downtown leaving the airport. They have good drinks and food and it's about the first place you come to. It's usually our first stop when we hit the island. http://thewestdeck.com/
