Smile Calling U.S.

Anyone have info on best way to call mainland from Aruba. I currently am an ATT cell phone customer but am not happy with their pricing.

If you have or are bringing a laptop, try SKYPE. under 3 cents a minute and it works great.

Depending on how much calling you will be doing, a cell phone rental is best. You can pick the phone up at the airport.

Hello Ralph,

The below listed thread describes the Skye Phone, which is a wi-fi phone that can be used with or without a computer. The calls average around 2-3cents per minute to anywhere in the world.

Depending on where you are staying, there is a phone store near the Alhambra Casino that charges 25 cents per minute and that works for us.

When I used Fastphones a few years ago (I now have a Aruba cell), it was approx. 34 cents a minute to a land line and approx. 55 cents to a cell.

Yup make your calls through voip if you can because its 10 times cheaper than local prepaid phone card. Check out Onesuite Broadband access, only 2.5 cents per minute, no other fees. Can be use as a prepaid phone card too in the US and other countries.
