Westjet was a very nice flight. The crew were very nice and the planes are pretty well all the same in size as there is no business class.
We always do 2 flights and also prefer to go as south as possible which is why we fly via Charlotte most times.
My son who goes to school in Montreal wants to do the AA flight direct to Miami and then onto Aruba next year. Friends of our took that routing and said it was great.

First time to Aruba - Will be flying from Syracuse through JFK to Aruba... on Delta. So much cheaper to fly from SYR than Ottawa. Leaving in 15 days!

Welcome!! Yes, this is a much cheaper alternative. Are you driving the day before in case of weather?

We have been going to Aruba for 20+ years and fly out of Detroit (live in Windsor)...no longer have direct flights so connect in a US city. We have used Air Tran, Southwest, Spirit, Delta, USAirways
Travelling to Toronto for a direct flight is not worth the trouble as we go for 2 weeks in February and the weather can be crazy and a 3.5 hour drive!

I was just looking at December for AC (don't think I can stand another holiday season in the Great White North) and noticed that they appear to be offering Wednesday flights again - obviously subject to change:
