I actually pay little attention to categories as I read posts. I just click on NEW POSTS and read those.

The only time I look at categories is if I am looking for a specific item or want to post something.

I frequent most of the threads. The culinary is my absolute go to; just have to know where the good food is at! The Welcone thread is nice for new comers and helps them to get acclimated. Would be lost without the trip report thread; how else would I get my Aruba fix between trips. Basically what I do when I come on is hit New Posts and see everything that's going on.

As Andy, I click on the "New posts" to see the most recent posts.

I like a variety of news, thing which are happening in Aruba, general info like rental cars (problem solving after accident ect)., info on flights (new rules on luggage ect), travel reports to read about adventures, events, the beaches, people's stories ect. And I learned a lot over the years!

If there is a certain topic which interests me a lot, I will specifically look for it. For instance, I'm a huge animal lover. So I follow up and post more in that category.

But I also was interested in the windmills close to Alta Vista. As it would change the "face of Aruba" completely! And an authentic part of Aruba would be lost. I realized this even more when I recently saw a documentation about Kenya, the area around Nairobi where the Ngong Hills are. There are now windmills!! This is the area where Karen Blixen lived and where the movie "Out of Africa" was filmed. I have been there many years ago and it felt like stepping back in time, like entering a world like it was back then. Amazing!

I like Curtis' "Secret picture games"! Fun to try to figure it our and at the same time learn more about Aruba!

My least favorite: the culinary section. For me, it's just very boring to read. There are a ton of great restaurants and places to eat and I find always something delicious while on the go! Dining is not really one of my priorities when visiting Aruba. But that's just me.

To add to this: I'm interested in restaurant reviews, trip reports, air and ground transportation. No interest in weddings, hotels, apartments, residences.

I being a "newbie" look at a lot.. so most of the post is interesting to me..
Places to eat, different parts of the island.. downtown, high rise, low rise (wouldn't even know what was what)
If it wasn't me lurking I wouldn't know anything prior to going.
