the marriott sells the phone cards
as do the 2 kiosks at the airport
there is the fastphones (digicel) and a setar right there in the large area in the arrival hall.............just as soon as u clear aruba customs
I was in Aruba the first week of October 2009. Had a wonderful time. It was my first time to Aruba. I took my laptop. It cost $ 35.00 to use the Setar wifi system in Aruba for a week. I used a SKYPE connect for phone service...it cost less than 5 cents (.05) a minute a call for the calls to the USA...that was awesome. You just have to download SKYPE and it is free. You make the phone calls via SKYPE through the computer. We made several calls and it cost us less than $ 5 for the whole week and that is calling 5 or 6 times to the USA. This is a good deal and definitely worth the cost of the wifi connect. FYI
Check with http://arubafastphones.com/rates.html
So do you just order the whole phone and then you can call the US...for a fixed rate....last time in aruba used our cell phone. oh yeah do I have to tell you what the bill was between kids texting and calling home....(need to check on my puppy)
for all laptop owners - buy yourself a magic jack (VOIP) - it costs about $20.00 a year and you can call for "FREE" back home.
