Cell Phones
This might be a dumb question, but I don't travel often.. Will our cell phones get service?? We're traveling with a large group and we're all staying at different hotels, and I know no one will be in there rooms much!

You need to have GSM (International) support for the phones, a SIM card, and a plan that enables this support. It will cost $1.50 per minute. I use SKYPE form my room over the internet. Your best bet might be to rent a few phones here.

I take mine from the States and it works great, actually I believe better than here, (no surprise there), The gals in our office hooked me up to international calling. I used to take a satellite phone, but that is kind of a small hassle!!!

My Verizon phone also works, but I don't use it because the cost is enough to fly the person there to talk to them. Use Skype or rent a local phone at the airport kiosk and buy cards to charge the minutos.
