    Coming Home

Its almost time to back our bags and head to our home away from home. Now a few questions? We have our airline tickets, passports, car service to airport, car rental in Aruba(Tropic) and booked dives with Red Sail. What else should we do before we leave the USA,and when we get to Aruba?I thought this may be a fun post because this is only our 15th trip to Aruba. We book Restaurants when we get there because of the other couples that are also going.

    This is what I did....

Used the following website and selected all of the restaurants I thought I would or might go to, then clicked on the "make print page". It printed out all of the phone numbers for those restaurants and the days that they were closed. It was very handy when making reservations for the night or wondering where to go (we could easily scan the list and pick out our restaurant for the night.)

Of course, let friends and family know, in case of emergencies the telephone number of the hotel you will be staying. Make sure that someone checks your home property periodically to be sure all is well there. Finally, be sure to have another absolutely wonderful time in Aruba. Not having a wonderful time there, of course, is difficult.

Let your credit card company know you will be in aruba
Let your bank know you will be in aruba and make sure that your atm card is ok to use there
Make copies of your passports and your credit cards and keep in a safe location.
Have a safe flight and a wonderful vacation

I say run around the block in your boxer shorts screaming! I have been doing it for a few years now. Neighbors are used to it.

Just looked and was surprised that Passions was not higher on the list. LG Smith's does not seem to get much buzz anymore.

    Andrea,
I never thought of making copies of my credit cards and passports...do you suggest we carry them with us to Aruba also or do you mean to keep them here in the States ?? Or both maybe....I usually keep everything locked in the hotel room safe except for the cash I think I will need in the evening. Have never had a problem, but I realize you never know.
    ARUBA....HOME AWAY FROM HOME
