Comission please
Today I ran into two co-workers that went to Aruba because of my big mouth. One of them is thinking of coming back in November when I come down. Another couple is coming in a month or so and yet another was listening to us talk about the island and is planning a trip.
I'm not looking for a lot, a free room or car for a few days would be nice. Ideally, they could just grant me residency. It wouldn't cost anything and eventually the country starts making money off my taxes when I move down. It's a win-win situation for everyone. |

Neighbors don't necessarily make good traveling buddies...

We enjoyed our 8th visit to the island in early July. I read this board all the time and have learned so much from all of you. I thought that I'd chime in on this topic.
We have had the same issue. When friends have asked to join us in Aruba, we say that Aruba is a wonderful place to visit and would encourage them to do so, but this is our one family vacation of the year and it is very special to us. They have 100% appreciated the response and respected our wishes. We travel with just our immediate family, my husband and myself along with our two adult unmarried kids, 22 and 25. Sitting on the beach under a palapa and hearing all the squabbling going on amongst large groups of extended family members or friends has made us realize that traveling with a group is not the way for our family to enjoy the magic and relaxation of Aruba. It seems that the family members or friends who are not on the beach are the ones being talked about by the others! |
