Doing our 2nd trip to Aruba in Oct. Staying in Divi Village (Not the new Golf Resort) this time in a one bedroom unit. Trying to find out info on the old section of the resort. It looks like all the material online is on the new parts of Divi Village Golf Resort. Thanks in advance for the info.

What kind of information are you looking for, I stay at The Divi Village in August in room 7301 let me know what you need to know and I will try to help.

Divi Village (not the Villas at Divi) has 1BR units in the "C" building
and the "D" building (3, 1BRs). The Villas at Divi (these are not the
Golf Villas) have 1BR units in each of the three "E" buildings
and in the "F" buildings.
The "C" building has two elevators. The "D" building has just the stairs.
1BR units have two bathrooms.
The second bathroom in the "C" buildings has a toilet
and a sink. In the "D" building the there is a shower as well.
The master bathroom is fairly large and has a sink, toilet,
and shower/jacuzzi tub. Dispensers are present for soap,
shampoo, lotion, conditioner. No hair dryer.
You will find the 1BR unit to be pleasently large.
The kitchen is of good size. Fairly easy to move about in.
TV in bedroom and living room. Pass through from kitchen to eating
area. Patio size is large.
"C" building has washer/dryers on 2nd and 4th floor. Quarters needed.
Welcome package you get at check in should have card key to
the gym in the Divi Winds building over on Druif Beach (should
you want to use the gym).
Aside from a very wide, very long beach (Druif) that, in over 10 years of
visits, is never crowded you have use of the three pools at Divi
Dutch, the Divi Village pool, the pool at the Villas at Divi and the
infinity pool at the Golf Villas. As a Divi guest you can also go over
to the Phoenix for the beach, pool or gym.
On site dining. restaurant at Divi Village, Mulligans, Windows
on Aruba. Check with the front desk, if interested, for a dining package
(not AI) that lets you use the restaurants at the Tamarijn and Divi
Aruba AIs.
Electric trams available for transportation about the resort and to Divi's
casino.
By October perhaps the Divi Modo Won will be available for guests at
Divi's Timeshares.

The DIVI is one of those organizations that has my full and very positive attention. Tell you why:
Aside from all the great stuff posted, DIVI IS NOT DENSE!
I don't mean "Dense" in the mental sense of the word but instead they are spread out over a large sector of land (Some beach front and some not) and the body-to-land-ration is by far lower than most other resorts. You do not feel crowded all the time and there is very little fighting over umbrellas or chiki shade.

Because it started started (Divi Village) as a time share some years back, the owners or guests mostly know each other and the relationship amongst them is very friendly and casual. One other resort that has this kind of member/guest relationship is Playa Linda.

Gerrit Griffin is the resort manager and he is always on property and always walking amongst the guest. Good habits.

Taking into consideration the actual amount of "in-room" time that folks spend while visiting the Caribbean, I think it may be a good thing to:

Go to Aruba to enjoy Aruba and stay at the resort or your choice.
As opposed to...
Going to the resort to enjoy the island of your choice.

While the difference might seem small or a play on words, it isn't

Divi has done a very good job at preserving space, and being ecologically friendly.
They worked hard on their golf course and it is a gem to look at (i don't play but folks tell me it is a good course).
They have used due diligence in keeping up with their resorts maintenance and renovations and guest services It hasn't happened overnight, but they have made strides in getting the Divi name up on a high pedestal. In the past 5 years, divi has really turned things around with their properties. Guest satisfaction is high from the peole that i have talked to.
The Divi corporate greed factor is not as obvious as some leisure/travel corps.

The familiarity factor with Divi timehare as Charles mentioned is also shown at ABC, CDM and Costa Linda and Playa Linda.

Not sure if this is the correct way, but - I wanted to THANK everyone for the replies. The information provided is what I was looking for - General info on the resort, area and beach. We stayed at the Renaissance the last time and loved the resort, area, and the island. Wanted to try this area this time. Who knows where we will stay on our next trip.

I have been reading the posts for Divi Village and gained lots of great information, thank you to all who have posted. I am a first timer to Aruba traveling on Sep 9 for a week through an exchange with RCI. I have a two bedroom for 69,000 points, there is also one for 104,000. I called the Divi and was told that that the 104,000 was a lockout unit(villas????). I have the map that was posted by daka630 (which by the way is excellent) and read the post for one bedrooms (which was excellent again) and just wondered if anyone had the same type info for the two bedroom. (which bldgs and where in a-f)

At Divi Village, the Villas at Divi, and the Golf Villas (aka Divi Beach and Golf Resort ) 2BRs are typically a 1BR & a Studio joined via the lockout doors.
There are a few full 2BR units in the C bldg (upper floors & penthouse).
The majority of 1BR units in Divi Village are in the C Bldg. (3000 series for unit numbers). Most of these have a lockout to an adjoining studio.

The D Bldg (8000 series of unit numbers) has 3, 1BR units. Each has a lockout to the adjoining studio unit.

The Villas F Bldg's 1BRs have a lockout to adjoining studio.
Same arrangement in the Villa's E Buildings.

fwiw - the Golf Villas' Birdies are patterned after the F building and the Eagles are patterned after the E buildings.

Thanks for the great info, you are the best, think I will try to get them to put me in a lockout in either E or F, or of course the golf villas, but don't think that will happen.
