Cooking while in Aruba on vacation

This is not about checking a cooler full of stuff in at the airport

How many of us while visiting Aruba, cook in unit and dine in (or on your patio/balcony) ?

Paul and I typically do at least every 3rd night.

Going out each night for us is sometimes tiring and then again it is nice to save a few $.

What do you do? What do you prepare?

We have brought meals from home frozen and used timeshare oven or microwave. We have bought steaks and grouper at Lings and grilled. We have gotten take out at King Ribs and Kitchen and brought in.

Our schedule usually goes breakfast every other day eating out at linda's. My wife never tires of lindas! Then breakfast in the room the opposite days. Usually eggs, bacon, etc. So we cook for that. Lunches are usually always cooked or prepared in the room, sandwiches, burgers, fish, etc. Dinners though are always out everyday.

Our first stop on Monday morning (we arrive on Sunday afternoon) is at Ling's. We stock up for two weeks.

Breakfasts are alomst always in the TS. Cereal, bacon or sausage and eggs, donuts, etc. Lunches are often in the TS as well. We sometimes have lunch in the pool side restaurant at our timeshare or next door at LaCabana. We also have lunches at Iguana Joe's or other places if we're out and about.

Dinners in the TS about half the time. We grill a lot. Ribeyes, pork, sausages, chicken, burgers, etc. All the usual suspects. I also cook dinners using things like seafood, pasta, fresh veggies. I am required to make a batch of American Chop Suey (also known as goulash, slumgullion and beefaroni) once for our daughter's arrival for the second week. That serves as a couple of lunches.

we do some breakfasts and like to bring in food for dinner a few times a week. We both enjoy just lounging around instead of going out all the time.

we rent a townhouse. i usually make something for breakfast every day. bring sandwiches or whatever for lunch to beach. for dinner, its usually two nights out, one night in. we're there for over two weeks so it gets exhausting always going out. some years we go out more to eat, some years less. depends on how fast we move from getting off the beach to getting dressed and how hungry we are by that time.
